OX-TRAN® Model 2/22 Series

A stand alone, fully automatic high barrier oxygen transmission rate system. Ideal for those new to permeation testing while offering all the features and flexibility required by advanced users.

The OX-TRAN 2/22 is currently offered in two models, the “H” and the “L”  which test in the same range as the OX-TRAN 2/21 “H” and “L” with the added benefits of fully automated testing, faster speed to result, improved accuracy, automatic sequential testing, automatic maintenance of RH, temperature, pressure and flow and a lower cost of ownership.

OX-TRAN® Model 2/21 Series

This oxygen transmission rate (OTR) testing system is ideal for high barrier testing for both flat film and finished packages. It consists of 6 separate master instruments each with a different test range. Each master can be expanded with up to 9 satellite units, providing a total of 20 cells per range. The newest instrument in this series, the Model 10x offers OTR testing in the ultra-high barrier range. Only MOCON instruments comply with ASTM D3985.

The seven cell OX-TRAN Model 702’s simple design is ideal for quality control, conducting shelf life studies and other research and development applications. It test both flat films and finished packages. Only MOCON instruments comply with ASTM D-3985.

Rack – 6™

MOCON’s RACK-6™ system increases throughput for testing the oxygen transmission rate through rigid package when used in conjunction with OX-TRAN® 2/61. Designed to allow for rapid testing of rigid packages containing oxygen barrier and scavenger material.

OpTech O₂ – Model P

The OpTech®– O₂ Model P replaces the OpTech®– O₂ Platinum. It measures oxygen permeation, headspace, dissolved oxygen and package leak. It is the ideal multi-application oxygen analyzer for food, beverage, pharmaceutical and medical applications where measuring oxygen and understanding its effect on product shelf life is critical. In addition, the Model P offers the new Pressure Needle which enables the the instrument to automatically compensate for internal package pressure.

Internal package pressure directly impacts the accuracy of the oxygen reading with optical fluorescence instruments. For example, if the internal package pressure is half the ambient pressure and is not compensated for by the instrument, the oxygen percentage will falsely read half the actual percentage in the package. Conversely, if the internal package pressure is twice the ambient pressure, the oxygen percentage will falsely read two times higher than the actual percentage. Incorrect oxygen readings directly impact the projected shelf life requirements.

In all other aspects the Model P is identical with the Platinum version. Internal package pressure has always been able to be entered manually and is available on the Model P.

OX-TRAN® Model 2/10

This two cell oxygen transmission rate (OTR) testing system offers our widest sensor range. Testing for flat films and packages at a variety of ranges. Complies with ASTM F-2622.
